I am wanting to put a clear overcoat on my figures, and am wanting to know if anyone can advise me about using Model Masters satin finish clear lacquer on figures that have been painted with acrylic paints (Vallejo and Polly Scale/Polly S paints). I want to be sure the clear coat being lacquer won't affect the painted figure, i.e. making the acrylic paints run or bubble up, etc. Thanks, Terry

I bellieve anything will be fine! I use sinthetic clear matt spray ffrom Tamiya and it is pretty good! But if you do not want any troubel I would use an acrylic base spray paint.
so you are sure that acryl and acryl won`t create poblems.

Before I turned to using the "miracle dip", I used to use both the Medium Matt and the Gloss Varnish acrylics from Pebeo. I used to mix a little bit of both to blunt the brilliance of the gloss. They're easily acquirable at any art store (Pearl is the one I got mine from, but is this a chain in CA only--I dunno); all this having been said, any clear finish suitable for the kind of paints you're using (acrylics, oils etc) should be fine. I recommend testing a new product that you're not familiar with on a single figure hastily painted, preferably an exta, left-over etc, before you apply it on a whole army.

I'm not sure what lacquer would do to acrylics. Polyurethane is fine.
