I am putting together a wargame campaign management system and was wondering if anyone on these lists would be interested in it.

It uses a square grid rather then hex (simpler, but I'll upgrade if I ever get around to it and the demand is there). You define you map and can set up how far each troop type can move in each type of terrain (terrain is currently fixed but troops types are definable). As game builder you enter an email address for each player, they then define their army and set where each unit starts. This simply holds unit name, troop type and location so you can use any game system to fight the battles.

Then each player issues movement orders for each unit each turn and when all orders are in the turn is processed. Fight battles and adjust armies as necessary then on to the next move.

It's still in last stage of development for beta but thought I'd see if anyone was interested in having a look.

Hi Gary,

I'd be pleased to have a look. It sounds like a good system for clubs. Do you want my email address?

Did anyone get a chance to have a look at the system? I would be very interested in any feedback.

I sent private messages to those who posted expressing an interest.

Cheers guys.

Is this different to the Berthier Campaign Manager?

Interesting you should say that. I downloaded a copy of that and found it was only for 2 players and runs on a PC.

I use Macs and play campaigns with more people so decided to write my own ;-)

About 20 years ago the Society of Ancients or Pike & Shot Society had some software for running multi-player campaigns across a map of Europe.

I have no objection to you doing one but I prefer not to see people waste time on what others have already done.;):E For myself I am happy to construct ones that can be done manually.

Lol. Let me just go get my Model T Ford out of the garage :-)

I was building it initially for my own use, I thought others might find it useful too.
