Found this web site which provides some good advice.

If you look under the inks and washes section it gives a recipe for the Future Floor wax dip and gives the non-US equivalents of Future floor wax.

Future is available only in the United States. However it is sold under other names, or there are similar products, available in other countries.

Mexico: Glo-mosa or Clo-coat

United Kingdom: Klear or Krystal Klear

Netherlands: Pronto Wax for Wood Floors or Parket Plus

France: Klir

Germany: Erdal Glanzer

Australia: Pledge One Go

Xtracolour, which makes military hobby paints, make "Acrylic Gloss Clear" which seams to be repackaged Future.

Its an interesting site Roland. However, I cannot find Erdal Glanzer either in German supermarkets,or in the internet.Does anyone know of an alternative name for this product, or can suggest a good alternative?

I found it! It is of course Erdal Glaenzer!Surprisingly, the Urdal doesn't appear on the fro nt of the packaging-just Glaenzer.

Problem is, it doesnt look like the product usually described as Future - it is a white liquid, rather than clear

Oh well, I'll try it.
Would be grateful for tips in Germany though, if anyone has any.

Roland,
do you use "Magic Wash stock"? (1:4 Future/Water)
I've been putting it on neat, with ink in it.

I guess I'm just as interested in the protective qualities (and so like it thick). The thick mix can leave a bit of pigment on the high points, but a touch with the brush cleans it up.

I'm using the 1:4-5 ratio with a drop of ink. Even watered down it still turns pretty glossy but I've found since I seal the figures first with a gloss sealer (brushed on glaze) the dip stays off the high spots better.
