Couldn't make it to Cold Wars..but knowing many of my WADBAG buds were there having fun infused me with insane jealously and rage, which I channeled into several DBA-related projects. :D
Couldn't bring myself to paint any of my languishing on-going army projects...I am just too apprehensive about army composition and basing until DBA 3.0 is out. So I focused on finishing up two camp projects and making some contoured hills. Here are a couple of pictures in a new My Projects album:

Nice job on everything Chris. Love to see more of the Russian Camp. The hills intrigue me and I think I'll try making some ( if I continue to play DBA:D)

Your wish is my command. Here is an album featuring the step-by-step of my attempt to scratch-build a Russian stone and timber blockhouse. Just needs final paint job.

Wonderful. I can picture my Mongols firing it now. Smell the ash and cinders drifting down on the garrison.:D

good hill technique, multiple very thin layers. I have used felt and thin rubber -like crafit material.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for posting the images. Particularly like the hill. I would be keen to see how the proposed flocking turns out. The camp is also looking good. Looking forward to seeing it completed .
Cheers,
Spencer

The search for the perfect hill is an ongoing quest.
Too steep and Bd/Sp roll off it like flaming logs. Too shallow and they look flat and un-interesting. Adding the very necessary crest line often destroys the visual appeal of the well flocked hill. The contour hills you have displayed are a step in the right direction Chris. Thanks for sharing.
