I am getting ready to do an Ariarathid Kappadokian army (II/14) and I can find nothing about their costumes and armor online or anywhere else for that matter.

The infantry figures and most of the cavalry/light horse seem to be dressed in a combination Persian/Celtic pant costume with some of the command figures in plainly Greek armor. The shields are of a Celtic pattern six-sided pattern. I am assuming that the costumes in general are a combination of Greek, Persian and Celtic elements representative of the all the people who bordered and or conquered the region.

If any on has any information or knows where I can find any please let me know.

Craig.

My data is based on the WRG book 'Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars'. They have drawings of a cavalryman and an infantryman.
Clothing style is more Persina since they are located in Asia Minir, The Cav Armor is scale. There are not any specific colors listed. they are also regarded as being 'similar to Galatians which were an Eastern Celtic nation.

Welcome to "Fanaticus", Craig. I can bring my copy of the "AMPW" book that Rudy mentioned below for you to our next DBA Game Night, if you like.

Craig, here's a very belated follow-up to your query of some time ago, but did you ever get the info you wanted for painting your Kappadokians?

Will you be running them at the "Diodochi" theme DBA Game Night in mid-March?
