Chronology of Wartime Service

August 13-14, 1862

After retiring from Cedar Run by way of Orange Court House, Jackson encamped his Corps near Gordonsville. During these two days, he laid plans for the 2d Manassas Campaign. Union positions were scouted and staff mapmaker J. Hotchkiss produced a series of maps. See Henderson, vol. ii, pp. 110-111.
