DBA ResourcesArmies of the AmericasSpanish Conquest In the spirit of creating an army list for friendly, non-tournament gaming, here is my cut at a DBA-style Conquistador list suitable for Cortez in Mexico, Pizarro in South America, Coronado in the American SW, or the host of other Spanish generals who claimed America for the Spanish crown. This list represents an expansion of the Spanish contingents in the DBM Tlaxcalan and Inca lists. The equal numbers of Spanish elements versus allied Indian elements reflects the relative "impact" of each rather than the actual numbers of soldiers. The list begins with the start of Cortez' campaign against the Aztecs in 1519 AD and stretches through the fall of the Mayan and Incan empires through the "mopping up" campaigns of the early 1600s, and ultimately through the failed attempts to subdue the Mapuche. It ends somewhat arbitrarily in 1700.
