DBA Resource PageMiniature SourcesReviews of Naismith MiniaturesMike Campbell on Naismith TibetansSomeone mentioned Naismith did a 15mm dismounted Tibetan cataphract on the Ancmed list last week, so I bought a few against the possibility I might have to use them. Got some mounted ones too, as someone said they were small and was hoping they would mix with my existing Peter Pig Parthians. The figures (both foot and mounted) are well sculpted but come in a single pose - standing/sitting upright with lance vertical. All horses are identical too - rather unanimated walking or standing. There is a prominent bowcase with bow stowed, and the face is covered by lamelar or scale with an eye slit. They are NOT small 15mm - about the same size as Essex, which I consider average - and about 2mm taller than PP. Chuck (aka Minadmiral) on Naismith KoreansI have a few hundred Naismith Koreans in the "To Paint" cabinet. These are nice figures, well done and very crisp. They seem to be smaller, true 15mm, figures. I have found virtually no flash on my figures. Naismith is a very good company. Just wish that they would do more Orientals.
