Reviews of Castaway Arts Miniatures

Charles (aka "Autocrat"): They make what can only be described as the world's best 25mm Sumerian battle cart and onagers.

Donald Effinger: I have a glowing miniature report for everyone. Awhile ago I was casting about for the unusual and found a web site company selling Sumerians and Egyptians. The company is Castaway Arts in Australia. It's a complicated story but the upshot of the whole thing is that I ordered some figs to check them out. Today I received them and I am thrilled. I got the new Sumerian chariot and man it is good. It comes with three riders, 4 asses and chariot. The size of the figs are similar to Foundry and OG, sort of in-between the two of them. The sculpting and detail is the same as well and very clean! Very little flash and no mold lines.

One of the big things that struck me was the cab of the chariot. You know how most engines like chariots are extra thick? I guess they do that for casting purposes. It makes it easier I suppose. Well, this one is realistically thin. And here's the real kicker... it fits together! Yup... the pieces fit and the guys fit inside too! Isn't that amazing? When was the last time you fit all the dudes into a OG chariot without chopping off toes and bending the figs half way around? Just amazing... what is this world coming to? Next are dogs and cats living togther!
