Citadel Paint Translations

We all know what it's like. You're looking at Citadel paints, in a catalogue or on a shelf, and the names are all weird. "Tentacle pink"? Dark Angels Green?? What's all this, man???

Well, to facilitate your choice of paints, I have put together an incomplete but useful list of translations of these weird names, thus allowing us to use these excellent paints without having to wildly guess what they really are.

mid-blue
SKULL WHITE = plain white
BLEACHED BONE = beige
REGAL BLUE =
DARK FLESH = red-brown..(!)
BUBONIC BROWN = desert yellow..(!)
RED GORE = blood red
BLOOD RED = bright red
SCAB RED = dark red
CHAOS BLACK = plain black
DARK ANGELS GREEN = dark green
GOBLIN GREEN = light green
SNOT GREEN = mid green
LICHE PURPLE = mid purple
SUNBURST YELLOW = mid yellow
CHAINMAIL = gun metal
MITHRIL SILVER = shiny metal
BOLTGUN METAL = dark metal
ELF FLESH = light flesh
BRONZED FLESH = flesh pink
BURNISHED GOLD = gold
SCORCHED BROWN = normal brown
