Gary Pomeroy's "Camel Jumbo Combo"
Comes Ashore in Britannia

Gary says he did the elephant to go with the other Claudius in
Britain figures he painted for his Early Imperial 9th legion (Legio VIIII
Hispania). The jumbo is an old, 15mm Heritage model, given to him by Paul
Hannah. Its forehead and ears were built up with Milliput to convert it from
Asiatic to African. The centurion is Corvus Belli. The driver, camel and rider
are Essex. This element shows up in some of Gary's EIR vs. Ancient British
games, usually just as eye candy in or around the Roman camp, but, occasionally,
it takes an active role in the Roman battleline --just for fun.
