Kelleher (aka Gregorius) As I was working on the Lydians I
cogitated about what type of camp would work. I wanted to get away from the
usual ruined temple. So I thought about where the Lydians were situated and
realized that they were on the edges of the old Hittite empire. So what
better than the gate of an abandoned Hittite frontier town. So arming myself
with the Osprey publication on Hittite fortifications I came up with the
following. The towers are 40mm square wood faced with cork to represent the
mud brick construction. The large stone foundations is heavy card inscribed
in a random pattern. Similar method for the gate way.
