DBA Camp Elements
Baltic Timber Fortress

A pretty grainy picture but one of my favorate scratch-built efforts to date. This is a timber fortress or fortified tower created as a medieval Scandinavians camp for use in a forthcoming Baltic Crusades campaign. Inspired by a similar tower in the Society of Ancient's Guide to the Baltic Crusades, this one is constructed of bamboo skewers, with floors cut from balsa wood scored to look like floor timbers. Note the cross-shaped arrow slits. I particularly like the idea of having a "camp" with height, and can actually hide one or more elements inside the tower just for fun.
