Marty's DBA Quadrathon

Hosted by Marty Schmidt, the first Historicon DBA Quadrathon drew fourteen players for this experimental test of a new tournament format. Each player entered four DBA armies to the event, with one army coming from each of the Army List sections of the rulebook. All army options were selected prior to the start of the event. An attempt was made to match ‘historical’ enemies in each round, though this proved more difficult in later rounds. Following round one the 'Swiss Pairs' format was used and each player faced four different opponents. The top finishers were:

1st   Jason Bostwick, 4-0 (90pts)
2nd   John Manning, 3-1 (75pts)
3rd   Jon Baldwin, 3-1 (68pts)
4th   David Bostwick, 3-1 (67pts)

Other contestants included Rich Baier, David Kuijt, John Passiglia, Jonathan Bostwick, Jack Sheriff, Doug Mudd, Eric Rauscher, David Schlanger, John Loy and Alex Bostwick
