Marty's DBA QuadrathonHosted by Marty Schmidt, the first Historicon DBA Quadrathon drew fourteen players for this experimental test of a new tournament format. Each player entered four DBA armies to the event, with one army coming from each of the Army List sections of the rulebook. All army options were selected prior to the start of the event. An attempt was made to match ‘historical’ enemies in each round, though this proved more difficult in later rounds. Following round one the 'Swiss Pairs' format was used and each player faced four different opponents. The top finishers were:

DBA National Invitational Championship TournamentFeaturing winners of NASAMW sanctioned events and other invited players, the 2005 NICT was run by Bob Beattie and featured over 20 highly competitive gamers. When the dust had settled, the hour was late, and the final championship face-off between David Kuijt and David Schlanger was postponed to a future date. The final four finishers were:
