This is my I-25 Middle & Early Assyrian Army - sublist (a). All Figures are from Caesarīs "Assyrian Army" except the Chariots & horses, which are from Atlanticīs "Egyptian Cavalry".  The sublist (b) is not much different - just the LCh-Gen and one other LCh are replaced by two HCh. Caesar will release a set "Assyrian Chariot" -probably a heavy 4-Crew chariot this year.  Pictures for the HCh will then be added respectively. In the background you can see the Ishtar Gate from Babylon - a cardboard set bought at the Berlin Museum of Ancient Architecture of the Near east.

The General (LCh/Gen)

The Tartanu General. Riding in a light Chariot.

The Chariot Force (3 x LCh)

The heavy Assyrian Chariots have not yet been introduced.

The Heavy Infantry (2 x 3Bd)

Heavy Infantry - I used 4/Base to represent tight formation. Neo Assyrian soldiers could be "Qurubuti" - body guards.

The Light Infantry (4 x 3Ax)

Assyrian line infantry. Might be "Kissir Sharuti". Mixed units of spearmen and archers were typical. I used a mix of (rather heavy looking) spearmen and archers to represent "light" auxiliary infantry.

The Archers (2 x 2Ps)

Light archers - probably from a subject tribe. Or levies ("Sab Sharri")

The Slingers (2 x 2Ps)

Those are additional figures, which can be substituted for the archers. Heavy slingers are supposed to be introduced rather late. Nonetheless they looked too good and I included them in the Middle Assyrian Army as well. Perhaps better for the (b) sublist.
