The Nobatian King with Cavalry

This army represents the Nobades Kingdoms that supplanted the Meroitic Kings of Kush, and which are referred to by the archaeologists as the "X" or Ballana cultures. In addition to the Meroitic Kush, the Nobatians fought with and against the Blemmye, as well as against the Roman occupation forces in Egypt and the Auxumites in Abyssinia. I put it together primarily as an opponent for my Early Imperial Romans, hence the identification of Blemmye allies. The army is comprised of figures from Tin Soldier (Abyssinian), Feudal Castings (Auxum and Kush), Falcon U.K (Blemmye), and Tin Soldier (Abyssinian) and painted by David Kuijt.
